Verbinski might work, but after Pirates I think he's bigger than this.  Explanation: I'm not that great at forecasting this shit or understanding how studios work, but I'm thinking the budget should be cut in half from the last one - get a quick economical director who can put together a fun, tight 90 minute superhero action movie with a few laughs thrown in.  I totally agree with you on that.  Similar to how the Potter franchise has worked (only in employing various directors, not in scope, as Potter is still too big in scope for what they need to do with Spidey at this point).

Keep JK Simmons as Jameson - that guy is sexy.</description>
